GOD or Country

GOD or Country Patriotism or Religion What comes first? We have just celebrated the fallen military heroes who gave their life for their country and I think that is great and they are deserving of every honor paid.
I only wish all Christians could come together, in such union to celebrate the one who gave his life for the world. We as solders of Christ should brandish the WORD as our weapon against sin until we are relieved of our mission by death.
I have nothing against people who claim patriotism is next to religion in their life, but when you take patriotism to the point of lying to defend your country’s position, That has gone to far some will tell you it is OK to stretch the truth (tell a lie) in order to protect the country, but you accuse them of putting the country ahead of GOD they will deny such a thing, I do believe America is the greatest country on this earth and if it came to it we should fight to defend it.
I love this old country, but I love and respect GOD and his teachings much more. Is it ever OK to tell a lie? You can not tell a lie for good. Not even to commend the righteousness of GOD.
Rom: 3:
5 But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?

They ask, if my lie commends the righteousness of God, will we still be judged, yes even then you will be judged, because God does remain righteous . God makes no excuse for liars. How could GOD judge if he made exceptions to his commandments. God does not look at a lie differently whether it is for him or against him, he looks at it as not the truth. As a work of Satan. That is like asking if I steal from the rich and give to the poor am I not justified, I have done what you told me not to do, in order to do what you told me to do. Sin is never justified in GOD’S eyes. A good deed does not wipe out a sin, only repentance and GOD’S grace can do that.

Notice in Proverbs Agur ask god for only two things before he dies.
Proverbs: 30:7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Notice the first is make me not vain and a liar. KJV
Prov: 17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue.
Prov: 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

If you tell a lie for GOD or country, neither is justified in GOD’S sight.
And you are putting your judgment ahead of GOD’S commandment. Mt: 19:18: He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Mk: 14:56 For many bare false witness against him, but their witness agreed not together.
(False witness, is nothing but a lie)
Look at Matthew this verse puts lying in the same category as murder, adultery, and stealing.
Mark tells you, you will get caught in this lie. because liars never stick together.

Laymond Meredith--- The truth comes out of many mouths the same. A lie comes out of many mouths differently--- The truth never changes, a lie changes often.
GOD accepts no reason for lying.
My opinion offered in Christian love and concern.
