One Bread, One Body
Our High School Youth Need YOU!!!
Dedicated adults who enjoy teens are needed to help build our High School Youth program into a vibrant ministry. Our teens have been surveyed and they want MORE...more retreats, field trips, and sports. They want to spend time with adults who care about them and want to listen to what is on their minds. They want to participate in Diocesan events and visit with teens in other youth groups. They want to make a difference in the parish by serving in parish ministry, and in the community by participating in service projects.
Our current team of dedicated catechists is wonderful, but they cannot handle teaching plus all of the other activities our teens crave and deserve. MUCH MORE HELP IS NEEDED! We are looking for young adults, mature adults, parents, grandparents, godparents...anyone who has a love of Christ and a love of teens to come help us with the many different tasks associated with vibrant youth ministry. We need drivers, chaperones, coaches, party planners, discussion group leaders, prayer warriors, musicians, idea generators, and anyone who just enjoys spending time with youth. Our goal is to have 20-25 people that we can count on to be available for one or more of the many components of good youth ministry.
Please take some time and ask God if He is calling you to help serve in this most necessary of ministries. If you can help, please contact Silvia Lesko in the Pastoral Office.
Our High School Formation Program encourages service, study, and adoration for all youth grades 9-12. We use a discipleship group model of formation, encouraging youth to learn more about the faith and then live what they have learned. This year, we will be studying the bible and the basics of the faith as revealed in scripture. Students meet from 6:30-8:00pm each Wednesday night; parents are always welcome to join us.
